I worked on this hardware project for a period of 6 months from October 2015 to April 2016.

THAWR basically was an industrial robot capable of lifting heavy weights and mimicking human actions. It was durable enough to withstand human weights and also was able to move on command. It was a voice controlled mobile robot with heavy duty sensors controlled using ATMega 2560 and Raspberry Pi 2.

My work included multi sensor interfacing and writing the communication code, implementation of voice control using the CMU Sphinx library after feeding training data to it, development of circuitry and the Raspberry Pi cape for touchscreen based control. The project won the silver medal at the inter hall hardware exhibition at IIT Kharagpur and was much appreciated by the judges.

It has also been selected as a top 10 entry at Quest Ingenium competition to be held on September 19th, 2016 at Bangalore (I am not going due to exams).

Due to my efforts in making of THAWR, I have selected as the captain of my hall team for the next iteration of the competition.
